Stove Top Surface Thermometer

For the "Stove Top Surface" version of our meters, follow these instructions:

Installation: - Calibrated for use on the exterior surface of a metal wood stove - Attach to the stove using the magnet on the back - Place the thermometer on the top, front, or side surface of the stove - Ideally place the thermometer in the recommended location by the stove manufacturer or where the stove reaches its highest temperature

Operating: - Best operating temperature for most wood stoves is between 400°F and 650°F (middle zone on the thermometer labeled "BEST ZONE") - Temperatures below 400°F can lead to a dirty fire and creosote buildup ("CREOSOTE" zone) - Temperatures above 650°F consume more wood without additional heat, labeled as "TOO HOT"
